Vivid Perch
Original Red-Billed Leiothrix Drawing — One-of-a-Kind Coloured Pencil Bird Art
Vivid Perch is an original red-billed leiothrix drawing by UK artist Hiten Mistry, created with coloured pencils on paper, celebrating the distinctive plumage of the bird through rich colour and carefully layered pencil work.
This is a one-of-a-kind original, not a print or mass-produced reproduction.
Original Red-Billed Leiothrix Bird Artwork
The red-billed leiothrix is known for its colourful plumage and distinctive red bill. In Vivid Perch, these features are brought forward through a combination of vivid colour, fine pencil marks and carefully observed detail.
The bird's turquoise and blue-green wings contrast with the olive and golden-yellow tones across its head and body. Red-orange accents add warmth, while the dark eye and delicate feather markings give the subject definition and presence.
The textured branch beneath the bird provides a striking counterpoint to its colourful plumage. Built from intricate grey, black and white marks, it introduces depth and visual contrast without distracting from the central subject.
Together, these details create an original red-billed leiothrix drawing that rewards close observation and celebrates the visual richness of the natural world.
Detailed Coloured Pencil Drawing for Wildlife Art Collectors
For collectors searching for original bird drawings, coloured pencil wildlife art or colourful bird artwork, Vivid Perch combines a recognisable natural subject with the individuality of traditional drawing.
The layered pencil work creates variation across the feathers, allowing different colours and textures to interact rather than appear as flat blocks of colour. The light background keeps the composition focused on the bird, while the detailed branch anchors the scene.
This balance makes the artwork suitable for those who appreciate detailed animal drawings, bird-inspired interiors and original nature-themed artwork. Its vivid colours can introduce a lively focal point to a living room, study, reading corner or personal art collection.
Rather than being a generic bird illustration, Vivid Perch is an individual interpretation of a specific species, created with its own combination of colour, line and detail.
